PVPF 2023 on Mar 10, 2023 Although Donald Trump hasn't officially disclosed an agreement to write a White House biography, he will release a second post-presidential book next month that is said to contain contentious communication with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

According to Axios, letters to Trump will include 150 personal letters written over 40 years by people, including Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, and Richard Nixon, which broke the story on Thursday. Trump's correspondence with Kim, the head of a nuclear-armed foe, has generated much criticism. During a rally in Virginia in 2018, Trump said that he and Kim were "really being tough... and then we fell in love, OK? Honestly, he sent me lovely letters that were excellent. Kim's letters, however, caused problems when it was discovered that they were among a cache of secret documents that Trump took with him when he fled the White House in disgrace in January 2021 following the Capitol riot. One of the topics under examination by Jack Smith, a special counsel appointed by US attorney general Merrick Garland, is Trump's retention of secret papers. The Winfrey letter, received in 2000—the year Trump toyed with the idea of running for president with the Reform Party—says, in part, "Too bad we're not running for governor. Such a team! According to Axios, Trump writes: "Unfortunately, she never spoke to me again once I announced for president [for the Republican nomination, in 2015]." The new book is scheduled to be released by Winning Team on April 25. This is the same publishing house that released Our Journey Together, a picture book about Trump's presidential term last year. After it was found that Trump had obstructed efforts to publish a book by his primary White House photographer, he self-published it, sparking uproar. "President Trump has always had an eye for beautiful and interesting curation, which came alive through the pages of his book," a Trump official said at the time. Letters to Trump won't be inexpensive, much like Our Journey Together. The price is $99, or $399, for an autographed copy. Letters from "presidents, royals, celebrities, and business giants" will be included in the new book, along with images and Trump's commentary for each.
