E N D
Exodus 20.2-5 I am the Lord your God, who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall not have no other gods before me or besides me. You shall not make yourself any graven image [to worship it] or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down yourself to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God is am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me.
When a person engages himself in worship the following are involved: • The act of the will. • The focus of the mind. • The motives of the heart. • The passsion for life
Worship comes from one of the Greek words [PRUSKUNEO]: - Lavishing someone with a kiss.
Three (3) important truths about worship: 1. Worship is a divine universal calling.
John 4.23-24 “Yet the time is coming and has now come when the true worshipper will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks.”
Revelation 7.9-12 “A great multitude that no one can count…from every tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and infront of the Lamb…they were holding palm branches in their hands and they cried out in a loud voice: And to the Lamb…They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshipped God.”
Worship should and must be GOD Centered.
Fellowship, teaching, intercession, serving those in-need: These are ministries directed towards each other.
