Needs Assessment • Having a Web-based Kronos time clock solution that simply tracks employee punches is only the first step, for reducing payroll inflation and manual errors. • In today’s high technology and advance society, many businesses use at least one Workforce Timekeeper Web-based Kronos program for management, payroll, and scheduling management. • This Web-based Kronos is an easy way to help companies organize their Human Resources systems and develop a clear and usable database for employee’s information.
Instructional Goal • At the end of this session, the learner should be able to understand and to navigate thru Workforce Timekeeper Kronos. • With one click, employees can record the time they started or ended their workday.
Performance Objective • Objective #1- Using the Internet Explorer (CN), the learner will be able to access the main screen of Kronos (B) with no errors (CR) • Objective #2- Using Kronos the login screen (CN), the learner will be able to login (B) with no errors (CR) • Objective #3- Using KRONOS (CN), the learner will be able to view their current pay period (B) without assistance (CR) • Objective #4- Using Kronos (CN), the learner will be able to approve their previous pay period (B) without assistance (CR)
Learner Characteristic • Number of employees: 75 Gender: 50 males and 25 females Age group: 20 to 65 years old • The education level of learners will start using more basic computer skills on web-based. • Some learners will have very limited computer skills and the training will take that into consideration
Learning Context • This Workforce Timekeeper Web-based Kronos will be taking place in a computer lab. • Since the training will consist of an online session. • The tutorial can be viewed on a personal laptop or even on a home computer.
Instructional Strategies • Introduction: • The learners will be asked – “Would you like to stop swiping your timecard when you start and end your work day?” • The overall for this training is to make it easy for employers to monitor employee’s time and attendance. • It reduces the risks of errors and payroll common to manual processes
Cont. Instructional Strategies • Presentation of Information: • The purpose for this session is to train the employees how to use a Workforce Timekeeper Web-based Kronos. • Steps on how to stamp in and out of a working day. • Steps on how to approve the current pay period. • At the end of this training all employees will need to take a test on line and print out a passing certificate they will need to sign it and turn it in with Human Resources Department.
Cont. Instructional Strategies • Assessment: • If the employers were able to finish the training, take a test and print out a passing certificate. They could Stamp out for the day when training is over using the Workforce Timekeeper Web-based Kronos.
Instructional Resources • First of all, all the employees should have access to a computer as soon they arrive to work. So the employee could log in to Workforce Timekeeper Web-based Kronos and be able to stamp for the starting day.
Training Module Blueprint • 1) Open the Workforce Timekeeper Web-based Kronos
Cont. Training Module Blueprint • 2) Type in User Name and Password
Cont. Training Module Blueprint • 3) Click on Record Time Stamp
Cont. Training Module Blueprint • 4) After you have click on Record Time Stamp, it automatically Logs you off.
Formative Evaluation The tutorial will be evaluated by the following: • Peer Evaluation: Each employee will be given a piece of paper and a pen to write down what they thought of the training. They will estate what will work best for them and ideas or thoughts for the improvement. • Small Group Evaluation: Have the employees get in groups of 4. They will then go through the tutorial without any interruptions and they will be able to write any problems, questions or issues they might have. Afterwards, I will ask the learner’s for their thoughts and comments regarding they new training system.
