  4. Paragraph • Based upon the timeline what social, political, and economic reasons do you see as the causes of World War II. • Answer this question in a paragraph.

  5. Rise of Dictators • In your pairs complete the worksheet by using the red textbooks.

  6. Discussion • What is Isolationism? • What is Internationalism?

  7. Brochure • Now you will create a brochure either in support of Isolationism or Internationalism. • The brochure should include pictures and some words. It should try to persuade people to embrace your position.

  8. Things to Consider • The rise of dictators in Europe • The heavy death toll during World War I • Neutrality Acts • The Great Depression and its effect on both philosophies • Growing tensions in Europe and Asia
