What We’re Learning: Reading and Language: Retell and Rhyme: Our unit focus is on rhyme because it is an important foundation for developing phonemic awareness. Students will learn about characters, events, actions, setting, etc. in this unit. Writing: We will continue to work on sentence structure and writing sentences about our picture. We have started discussing and writing opinion pieces. Math: Counting forward from a given number, writing numbers 1-20, simple addition and subtraction and positional words.
