Introduction • Write an introduction that includes the following: • Make the issue clear through an example: • Hypothetical example • Historical example • Anecdote (story) • Make it clear why your issue is important • Write a clear thesis • (optional) forecast your major reasons WRITE LEGIBLE, THIS WILL BE REVIEWED BY PEERS
Introduction Peer Revision • When you find the feature, underline and make a note. IF YOU DON’T FIND IT, make a note at the bottom that it’s missing: • Makes the issue clear using an example • Says why the issue is important • Has a thesis.
Body Paragraph • Topic Sentence • Evidence (more than one support) • Commentary on Evidence • Why and how does the evidence support your argument? • Only one idea is explored in the paragraph • Write your own body paragraph… (write legibly)
Body Paragraph Peer Revision • When you find the feature, underline and make a note. IF YOU DON’T FIND IT, make a note at the bottom that it’s missing: • Topic Sentence • 2 pieces of support/ evidence • Commentary that explains why or how the support proves the argument.
Body Paragraphs • Revise your introduction and body paragraphs if necessary. • Write a couple more body paragraphs.
