  2. Purpose (Pg. 3) • The GCM Credit Recovery Project is designed to help you earn back credit for a failed grading period. • After successful completion of the entire project, you will earn a 70 for your failed 6 weeks.

  3. Components (Pg. 3) • Paper • 3 Pages • MLA Format • Five sources • Portfolio • 1 Inch binder consisting of your Capstone journey • Presentation • 8 minute presentation in front of faculty panel • Covers your entire project • Question and answer section

  4. Deadlines (Pg. 3) • All deadlines must be met in order to earn credit. Late assignments will not be accepted.

  5. Picking the Project (Pg. 4) • The topic you select must apply to the 6 weeks in which you are earning credit.

  6. Declaring your Topic (Pg. 5) • Submit a Letter of Intent to your English teacher. • Sample and Rubric on Pg. 12-13 • Typed letters & Parental Permission Form due Friday, March 2 by 3:00 • Project Approval forms will be handed back Monday, March 5.

  7. Once Approved… • Research Paper (Pg. 6) • The Portfolio (Pg. 7) • The Presentation (Pg. 8)
