MUSCLE TONE AND POSTURE Muscle tone= A Voluntary muscles state of slight tension, and readiness to work. • The muscle is taut but has no movement. • This helps with our posture. Posture = The way the muscles hold the body still or in motion.
Good posture helps both athletes and day to day life. Day-to-day: • Breathing is easier • The heart has enough room • The digestive system has enough room • Bone aliment prevents injuries • Self-esteem is improved. Examples
Athlete: • Aesthetically pleasing actions are improved with good posture.
