Group 13—The Boron Family • The elements in Group 13 are all metals except boron, which is a brittle, black metalloid. • Without using boron in cookware the products when transferred from a heat place to a non-heated place will cause the item to crack. So using boron helps.
How does boron effect our lives? How Carbon Effects our lives? When carbon is mixed with oxygen it effects us today in many way. Green houses gases are produced into the air causing the ozone to dissipate. Also carbon is produced through factories, cars, and others. Throughout the southern United States forests are disappearing causing the forest carbon cycle to change.
