Pertinent Rules Implemented March 1, 2010 • Rule 2.110 (c) Summary – If an offender is allowed to relocate without permission, the sending state must instruct the offender to return w/in 15 days. If he/she fails to do so, a nationwide extradition warrant must be issued w/in 10 days. • Rule 3.101-1 (d) Summary – If an offender is transferred to another state by their full-time employer and as a condition of maintaining employment, the transfer request is now a mandatory acceptance. • Rule 3.102 (c) Summary – An offender now may travel across state lines to continue working, while a transfer is pending in order to maintain employment. • Rule 3.104-1 (c) Summary - Once Reporting Instructions are approved and a Notice of Arrival is submitted, the receiving state now assumes the supervision responsibility.

  6. Training • Continue to train at Parole, Probation and DOC Counselor Basic • Parole Field personnel were trained on ICOTS in November 2009 • State-wide probation training scheduled for March 11th – 26th • Continue to request assistance with being placed on conference/training agendas

  10. Offender Count Probation: OS offenders in GA = 5481, down from 5504 GA offenders in other states = 8385, down from 9851 Parole: OS offenders in GA = 853, up from 846 GA offenders in other states = 1623, up from 1561
