Activities: • Stop reading the book right before the solution to Owens problem. Recall Owen's feelings about giving up his favorite blanket when its time to start school and discuss the things that are hard for students to leave behind at school time. Then brainstorm possible solutions to Owens' problem. List those ideas on the board. If time allows, have the students draw/write their solution on paper to present to the class. Then finish reading the book. Book: "Owen"
