  1. The 3 main elements of the International Press are: SATIRE SUBSTANCE SCOOP

  2. The IP team consists of reporters, photographers, and caricaturists. Reporters create the main content of the newsletter- articles. A good reporter is one who is alert in committee and is able to strike the balance between the factual and the funny to produce a report that presents a whole perspective. Sound grammar, spelling and flow to writing are prerequisites. Creativity and clarity of thought are vital to the post.

  3. Photographers and cartoonists lend to the visual appeal of the newsletter. Photographers on the International Press are required to be vigilant in committee at all times. The newsletter acts as a much-needed breather for the delegates and dais. Only the very best photography- in terms of humour, composition and candidness- is printed. Additionally, photographers are meant to work with reporters to ensure coherence between the write-ups and photographs.

  4. Caricaturists also contribute to the more visual and image-oriented areas of the newsletter. Drawing skill and the ability to interpret the happenings of committee into visual format are of paramount importance. Similar to photographers, cartoonists are encouraged to collaborate with reporters so that cartoons are relevant to the reporting. Adherence to deadlines and the capacity to work under pressure and time constraints apply to all posts in the IP.

  5. Caricature samples By Amreen Singh (Head of Design)

  6. Through reports, photographs and caricatures compiled into a newsletter, the International Press presents an insight into the MUN conference and highlights notable moments. Since it is known to be all in jest, the International Press team is given the freedom and creative license to ridicule not just delegates, but the Executive Board as well! Be it a humorous quote section, “fashion police”, foot-in-mouth embarrassing delegate moments or a display of the scandalous chits sent in committee- the Press does it all.

  7. The International Press, AMUN 2013 Peek into it. It’s a whole new world.
