Logical Appeals • Use facts, examples, and expert testimony. • Rational
Ethical Appeals • Establish credibility • Show concern the for public or environment • Show longevity (i.e. how many years in business)
When Evaluating… • What is the motivation behind the article/ad/essay, etc.? • How credible (or believable) is the information? • Does the author/creator use a lot of generalizations?
