  2. “Buzz” Word Delusion (n): a belief that is not true; a false idea Sentence: The ghetto was ruled by neither German nor Jew; it was ruled by delusion (pg. 12). Synonym: dream, fantasy

  3. Grammar Practice • With your 12 o’clock partner • Glue the “Conjunctions” definitions in your Notes/Toolbox (last section) of your spiral • Write the model sentence in your notes (after the ones you just glued in) • Circle the coordinating conjunctions in the sentence • Choose a way to revise the sentence.  Don’t change the entire sentence because it's already a great sentence.  Try to add to it.   (Like, change a pronoun to a noun so we know who or what the sentence is about, or add an adjective or adverb.  Or, if it's a compound sentence, make it two sentences. Write your revised version on the folder) • Create an imitation sentence. Format it just like the model sentence. Write it on the sentence strip.
