The main religion of Palestine is Islamic. (Muslim) • The main religion of Israel is Judaism. • The main point between the conflict between the two countries is the city of Jerusalem. • The conflict resides around Jerusalem because both countries want it to be their capital, and both countries claim it to be their territory. Neither one will give up. • As of now, Jerusalem has been taken over by the military. The problem is that Jerusalem holds many religious places or icons for Jewish people and Islamic people, so neither religion will give up territory that they believe to be holy or sacred. Jerusalem has been divided into three sections for Muslims, Catholics, and Judaists because each religion can be traced back to the city. Religions. Jerusalem is considered to be the oldest and second most holy city in the world.
