Level 5-6 - I explain with detail, positive and negatives related to the science topic, and how it has affected the country and perhaps many parts of the world and in a variety of ways. Criterion B : Communication Level 1-2 - My presentation is simple and easy to understand. I use some correct science vocabulary some of the time. Level 3-4 - My presentation covers all of the basics, I use simple pictures, charts and diagrams to explain. Level 5-6 - My presentation clearly explains the science topics importance, even the more complex parts. All of my information is very accurate and detailed. • Other considerations … • Good amount of information, not too much, not too little … • Excellent and appropriate visuals • Spelling and grammar • Catchy words and titles to entice the reader • Visually appealing layout, stylish • Organized flow of information in the brochure • Something EXTRA? to really SELL your brochure … perhaps a little skit to introduce it to the class • Appropriate grade 7 language and word use • Appropriate humor or sense of fun • Relate it if possible to something we have studied in class? • Examples: • scientific method • variables and relationships It is to be in the format of a brochure advertising for people to come and visit this country … You are to use Microsoft Powerpoint ONLY – no Word or Publisher It has to be factual, you cannot make things up Almost half of your points and the focus of this project is on telling a bit about the country – so fill you brochure up with this type of information as well The other half of the points come from elaborating on the energy issue about this country and how it helps or affects the country
