  5. What is the English Baccalaureate or ‘Ebacc’? An award given to students gaining GCSE passes (C+) in these subjects: English Mathematics Science GCSE x 2 (or more) MFL History or Geography

  6. Are passes in all six needed to gain the award? YES In 2011 the National success rate was 16% The Gable Hall figure was 24% Nationally the target is to move to 50% over future years At Gable Hall our target is to reach 50% by 2013 Remember, you only gain the award if you pass in all areas

  7. What AS levels are likely to be offered? Drama, Dance, Music, PE What other courses may be offered? GCSE Business Studies, Sociology, Psychology (2 only) plus History if needed
