BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grants • Very popular scheme, funded from public funds, Leverhulme Trust and around twenty other partnerships • Awards up to £10k, tenable for up to 24 months • Commonly used for pilot studies, small-scale projects • Worldwide in scope, international partners • High priority in Academy portfolio • Wide outreach: over 100 HEIs in last financial year
BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grants • Two rounds of competition per year • Next round open now, closes 6 May 2015 • Awards for research to start between 1 Sept 2015 and 31 March 2016
International Funding International Partnership and Mobility Scheme • Research partnerships between UK and researchers in Africa, East Asia, Middle East, Latin America & Caribbean, South Asia, and Eurasia. 3-year and 1-year awards: £10,000 per year Newton Fund Schemes • Research partnerships with Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Turkey and Vietnam • Newton Mobility Grants: Up to £10,000 for one-year collaborations • Newton Advanced Fellowships provide 1 or 2 year awards for training and development in collaboration with a UK partner. £37,000 per year Newton International Fellowships • Funding for early-career researchers to spend two-years full time at a UK host institution. Salary, research expenses, relocation assistance £66,000. The host institution receives 50% to support overhead costs.
