Next door you can visit the resort and its restaurants, spa and shopping, and you'll also want to enjoy the short scenic hike from your condo to Anini Beach, which has the longest coral reef in the state and some excellent sand, snorkeling and relaxation.

9. Hanalei Bay Rentals History of our Kobayashi Family Rentals Harold and Nancy Kobayashi were born on Kauai in the 1920's. For years they worked as farmers. Harold was a smart man and with a touch of a visionary. They invested their hard earned savings in land and built some rentals on Hanalei beach. Harold was a great story teller and Nancy was known for her great food and hospitality. For about 35 years, we grew by word of mouth, with many of the same families coming back year after year, becoming friends with everyone's kids growing up together. Some of those mainland 'ohana are coming back with 3rd and 4th generations to enjoy Hanalei. Harold and Nancy's children are perpetuating their parents' legacy renting those homes, and expanding to add a few more Hanalei rentals. I was the daughter in law with the real estate license so it seemed natural when my husband starting renting his house in 1998 that I would branch into renting and marketing the vacation rentals.
