  2. La ciencia es bendición de Dios. Nos ha beneficiado grandemente. Por ejemplo, ciencia médica, química, matemática, muchas otras categorías. • Science es a blessing from God. It has bene-fitted us greatly. For example, medical science, chemical, matematical, and many other categories.

  3. Pero hay mucha “falsamente llamada cien-cia” (1 Tim. 6:20): evolución, teorías de la geología. Mucha “ciencia” se descarta. ¿Por qué no se descarta la ley de la gravedad? • But here is much “science falsely so-called” (1 Tim. 6:20): evolution, theories of geology. Much “science” is discarded. Why isn’t the law of gravity discarded?

  4. “Ciencia” acerca del origen y la edad del universo no es ciencia. Inteligencia humana no puede descubrir ni el origen ni el fin. La REVELACIÓN DE DIOS NOS DICE. • “Science” regarding the origin and age of the universe is not science. Human intelli-gence cannot discover either origin or end. REVELATION OF GOD TELLS US.

  5. Origen/fin del universo no es cuestión científica. La ciencia solamente observa lo que existe y saca conclusiones. • Origin/end of universe is not a scientific question. Science only observes what exists and draws conclusions.

  6. Mucha “ciencia” es pura “especulación” humana. “Yo creo esto”; “yo creo aquello”. En cuanto al origen del universo, la opinión del más ignorante = opinión del más erudito • Much “science” is pure human “specula-tion.” “I believe this”; “I believe that.” As for the origin of the universe the opinion of most ignorant = opinion of the most educated.

  7. “Oh, usted no cree en la ciencia”. Sí, Señor. Ciencia química, ciencia de matemática, ley de gravedad, agua hierve 212 grados. Acepto ciencia; rechazo falsa “ciencia”. • “Oh, you don’t believe in science.” Yes, Sir. Chemical science, science of mathematics, law of gravity, water boils at 212 degrees. I accept science; I reject false “science.”

  8. Origen/edad/fin del universo no se presta para investigación humana. Ciencia aprende con microscopios, telescopios, laboratorios, experimentación, análisis, pruebas, etc. • Origin, age of universe does not lend itself for study and investigation. Science learns with microscopes, telescopes, laboratories, experimentation, analysis, tests, etc.

  9. Muchos dicen, “Origen/edad del universo es cuestión científica”. No es cierto. Es cuestión de REVELACIÓN. Es cuestión de creer o rechazar la Biblia. • Many say, “The origin/age of universe is a scientific question.” This is not true. It’s a question of REVELATION. It’s a question of believing or rejecting the Bible.

  10. ¿Por qué los “científicos” no aceptan lo que la Biblia dice acerca del origen del mundo? Porque entonces tendrían que aceptar lo que dice acerca del fin del mundo (juicio). • Why don’t “scientists” accept what the Bible says about the origin of the world? Because then they would have to accept what it says about the end of the world (judgment).

  11. Gén. 1:1, “En el principio creó Dios los cielos y la tierra. 2 Y la tierra estaba desor-denada y vacía”. V. 2 todavía está en el principio. No hay intervalo entre v. 1, 2. • Gen. 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 And the earth was was without form, and void.” V. 2, In the beginning also. No “gap” between v. 1, 2.

  12. No hubo “Big Bang” (“Gran Explosión”) se-guido de billones de años para refrescarse y estabilizarse. ESTO NO ES CIENCIA. Es más bien “Ficción científica” (como caricaturas) • There was no “Big Bang,” followed by billions of years of cooling off and stabil-izing. THIS IS NOT SCIENCE. Rather, this is “Science Fiction” (like cartoons).

  13. 15-20 billones de años después del Big Bang, tierra, planetas, sol, luna, estrellas formados por evolución cósmica y estrellar. ESTO CONTRADICE LA BIBLIA. • 15-20 billions of years after Big Bang, earth, planets, sun, moon, stars formed by cosmic, stellar evolution. THIS CONTRADICTS THE BIBLE.

  14. Salmo 33:6 “Por la palabra de Jehová fueron hechos los cielos, Y todo el ejército de ellos por el aliento de su boca. 9 Porque él dijo, y fue hecho; El mandó, y existió”. Sal 148:5 • Psalm 33:6, “By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. 9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.” Psalm 148:5.

  15. Los seis días de Gén. 1 son seis días litera-les (de 24 horas) y consecutivos. V. 5, “Fue la tarde y la mañana un día”. DIOS DEFINE EL DIA. No millones de años. • The six days of Gen. 1 are six literal (24 hour) consecutive days. V. 5, “The evening and the morning were the first day.” GOD DEFINES THE DAY. Not millions of years.

  16. Comentario de Dios sobre 6 días: Exodo 20:9 “Seis días trabajarás, y harás toda tu obra; 11 Porque en seis días hizo Jehová los cielos y la tierra, el mar, y todas las cosas que en ellos hay”. Repetido 31:17 • God’s commentary on 6 days: Exodus 20:9 “Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them.” Repeated 31:17.

  17. ¿Habría sido aceptable si Israel hubiera creído que los seis días no eran literales? ¿O si hubieran dicho que el reposo del séptimo día era “simbólico”? • Would it have been acceptable if Israel had believed that the six days were not literal? Or if they had said that the rest on the 7th day was symbolic?

  18. Jesús dice, “al principio de la creación, varón y hembra los hizo Dios” (Mar. 10:6). No dice “después de billones de años”. ¡El hombre es tan viejo como el mundo! • Jesus says, “from the beginning of the creation, God 'made them male and female’”. He does not say, “after billions of years.”Man is as old as the world!

  19. ¿Por qué quieren millones de años? Creen que hace posible la EVOLUCIÓN, pero no habría evolución ni en 100 billones de años. • Why do they want millions of years? They believe that it makes EVOLUTION possible, but there would be no evolution even in 100 billion years.

  20. ¿Qué estaba pasando durante esos billones de años? Aun los HERMANOS que dudan de 6 días literales admiten que había algún “proceso natural” o evolución. • What was happening during those billions of years? Even BRETHREN who doubt that the 6 days were literal admit that there was some “natural process” or evolution.

  21. Estos hablan de “creación progresiva”; es decir, Dios manejaba, dirigía la evolución. Estos se llaman “evolucionistas teistas”. Quieren creación y también evolución. • These speak of “progressive creation”; that is, God managed, directed evolution. These are called “theistic evolutionists.” They want creation and also evolution.

  22. ¿Afecta nuestra salvación? “Hay buenos argumentos a favor de y en contra de”; “no me gusta decir que TENEMOS QUE CREER 6 días literales; tengo problema con eso”. • Does it affect our salvation? “There are good arguments pro and con”; “I don’t like to say that we MUST BELIEVE in 6 literal days; I have a problem with that.”

  23. La creación de todo en 6 días fue el “mila-gro de milagros”. Rechazarla = rechazar diluvio, Jonás, encarnación, resurrección. • The creation of everything in 6 days was the “miracle of miracles.” Reject it = reject flood, Jonah, incarnation, resurrection.

  24. ¿Tiene problema con decir TENEMOS QUE CREER diluvio, Sodoma, serpiente de bronce, Jonás? ¿Tiene problema con estos? Jesús no: Mat. 24, Mat. 11, Jn. 3:14, Mat 12. TAMPOCO CON CREACION: MAR. 10:6. • Have a problem with saying WE MUST BE-LIEVE flood, Sodom, serpent of brass, Jonah? Have problem with these? Jesus didn’t: Matt. 24, Matt. 11, Jn. 3:14, Matt. 12. NOR WITH CREATION: MARK 10:6.

  25. Si Gén 1 no es literal, tampoco lo es Gén 6-9 (el diluvio). Muchos creen que era diluvio “local”. Pero lea 2 Ped 3:6, “mundo pereció” • Is it important to believe it? Does it affect our salvation? If Gen. 1 is not literal, neither is Gen. 6-9 (the flood). Many say that it was “local.” But read 2 Pet 3:6, “world perished”

  26. Si no importa si creemos Gén. 1, ¿por qué creer: creación de la mujer … Jonás - ¿3 años O K?.. Naamán ¿literalmente 7 veces? • If not important to believe Gen. 1, why believe: creation of woman … Jonah - 3 years O K? Naamán - literally 7 times?

  27. Si destrucción de Sodoma no literal, tam-poco el juicio final. Mat. 11:24, “en el día del juicio será más tolerable el castigo para la tierra de Sodoma que para ti (Capernaum)”. • If destruction of Sodom not literal, neither is final judgment. Matt. 11:24, “it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you (Capernaum).”

  28. Es cuestión de FE EN LA BIBLIA. Heb 11:3 “Por la fe entendemos haber sido constitui-do el universo por la palabra de Dios, de modo que lo que se ve fue hecho de lo que no se veía”. No por el proceso de evolución. • It’s a question of FAITH IN THE BIBLE. Heb. 11:3, “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” Not by the process of evolution.

  29. Por eso, si Gén 1 no es literal, imposible probar que el resto de la Biblia es literal. ¿Importa? Destruye fe en Palabra de Dios. • Therefore, if Gen. 1 is not literal, impossible to prove that the rest of the Bible is literal. Does it matter? Destroys faith in Word of God.

  30. Si no podemos entender Gén. 1 (EL PRIN-CIPIO), ¿por qué pensamos que podemos entender el resto de la Biblia? • If we cannot understand Gen. 1 (THE BE-GINNING), why do we think that we can understand the rest of the Bible?

  31. Por eso, si su libro dice que el origen/edad del universo es cuestión científica, habla de evolución y billones de años, escriba “BALONEY – Esto contradice la Biblia”. • So if your book says that the origin/age of universe is a scientific question, talks about evolution and billions of years, write “BALONEY – This contradicts the Bible.”
