  3. Duties; Vet Provide nursing care for animals Handle, restrain, care for animals after surgery Can conduct and assist in laboratory research. Can provide wound and bandage care Assist animals before and after surgery Can Perform animal dental procedures.

  4. Working conditions and qualifications They work 40-50 hours per week Feels unpleasant and demanding at times 2 or 3 year diploma required Emergency call out work, sometimes required. Treating abused animals sometimes causes stress Safety precautions are undertaken

  5. Current Workforce It’s a small occupational group Full time salary is below average 93% of vet’s are women. Full time vet’s earn $30,000 per year 48% of vets work full time Employed size of occupation is 1,505
