Working Condition and Qualifications • Family physicians and GPs often work irregular hours. • They can also be on call 24 hours. • They also spend a lot of time in practise • A doctor of medicine degree (MD) is required to work in this field. • The MD requires at least three years of undergraduate studies, as well as four years of medical school. • If you want to be fully graduated you need to pass two exams.
