  3. Looking Back • Dependence on God in prayer is essential • for victory • Knowing God is the foundation of life and • ministry • The consequences of sin are devastating

Habits • Habits of the heart are the roots to sustain • our relationship with God (Ex . 33:7-11) • You will live with God-centered balance • when you grow the roots of your heart • habits (33:7-8) • You will influence others by your example • when you grow the roots of your heart • habits (33:8, 10)

  5. Habits • You will experience the glory of God in • worship when you grow the roots of your • heart habits (33:9-10) • You will develop a friendship with God • when you grow the roots of your heart • habits (33:9, 11)

  6. Leadership • Leadership is a team sport (Num.11:16-30) • God’s pattern for ministry is team-based • (11:16 -17) • The burden of ministry is carried best by a • team (11:18-20) • Our faith is strengthened in team • relationships (11:21-23)

  7. Leadership • The Spirit’s ministry is experienced in teamwork (Num.11:24-25) • Christ-like character is developed in team relationships (11:26 -30)

  8. Faith • Faith is the watershed issue (Num.14:6-10) • The man of faith sees possibilities for God • to work – those who lack faith see problems • too big to handle • The man of faith is apt to obey God – those • who lack faith will tend to rebel against Him

  9. Faith • The man of faith is often in the minority who • enter the land – those who lack faith are in • the majority who wander in the wilderness
