Do not capitalize short prepositions, conjunctions, or articles unless they are the first word of the title. example: Have you read To Kill a Mockingbirdby Harper Lee? • “to” is capitalized because it is the beginning of the title • “a” is not capitalized because it is the middle of the title and it is an article
