  3. Guiding Principles for Selection • The Committee will primarily consider: • Areas of relevant expertise • Track records of nominees’ contribution to JCOMM • Consultation with identified leaders of teams/groups • The Committee will then take into account: • Degree of support by governments (*members funded by their governments/institutions) • Geographical balance / country representation (recommend, if possible, one expert from one country, for one team) • The Committee will advise the teams/groups to identify vice-chairs within the selected members, taking into account the Commissions’ interest in continuity JCOMM-4 (Yeosu, Republic of Korea, 23-31 May 2012)
