Apurva Sawant 45, Adarsh Colony, Islampur.415409. 22nd Jan. 2014. Dear Anuja, In advance, I wish you a Happy Holi. I also say this, Don’t let Holi lose all its colours. You may wonder why I am saying this. Well in today’s Delhi Daily, there was an advertisement put in by the D.P. with the same slolgan. The adv. Adivsed people to avoid doing certain things in order to make Holi safe’. I thought I was share the message with you.
During Holi, one thing we should definitely avoid is throwing water or rubber balloon containing water at passers by children enjoy doing this but little do they realize how much harm they cause by this. We should avoid forcing unwilling people to play Holi. Many places instead of colours people use dirt and chemicals. This is so disgusting and should be shunned completely. You know that in such localities the youth get drunk and use indecent language or behave riotously. They think that Holi as an excuse for eve teasing and drunken driving. The police have urged people not to tolerate such behaviour. I do hope that you and your friends avoid such things in your locality and really make this enjoyable and colourfull Holi. Convey my best regards to your parents and love to all. Yours loving friend, Apurva.
