Update on module mounting on staves and stavelets 15/3/11. New stavelet frame concept agreed. Order for the stages has gone out and been received by Aerotech. Visit from Mark Cliffe from UKATC who will do engineering drawings for granite, new vac jigs, etc, etc.

  1. Update on module mounting on staves and stavelets 15/3/11

New stavelet frame concept agreed. • Order for the stages has gone out and been received by Aerotech. • Visit from Mark Cliffe from UKATC who will do engineering drawings for granite, new vac jigs, etc, etc. • Basic idea for granite table sketched out. • Area in R12 clean room agreed. Work will start soon to remove old ‘stuff’. • New design for pinhole illumination tried and incorporated into granite table design • Fume extraction modelled in wood (awaiting smoke to test) • New optics bought. • Pictures via PC and new optics on screen.(Ivan) • DC to DC stavelet has modified aluminium extensions (now the correct width), and two tapped holes added with solder tags for earth connections.Plan to use 2011 +Bn as adhesive to stick into stavelet. See pictures • Trial fit of DC to DC card done.....see pictures
