  2. Introduction • Metal is one of the most important materials in the world! We use it in various products including buildings, televisions, and cars. • This webquest will introduce you to the huge world of metal, and we use it in our daily lives!

  3. What are we going to do? • During this webquest, there will be various activities that you and a partner will need to accomplish by the end of it. • When you’re all finished with it, you will know the different types of metal, how it’s made, what we use it for, and appreciate its uses in our lives!

  4. Process • Please review the links that are given to you and your partner in the next few slides. Read all of the information and take notes! • Fill out all three worksheets, one for each website.

  7. Now what? • Make sure all three of your worksheets are complete! You may go back to any of the links provided for extra help if you need to. • Turn your third worksheet over and list: • Three types of metals • One way to form metal • One use for metal in our daily life!

  8. Evaluation: • Your grade for this webquest will be out of 100 points: • 5 points for the pop quiz • 30 points for each worksheet (90) • 5 points for participation

  9. Conclusion • Now that we’ve learned a little bit about metal, let’s go into the laboratory and make something with it!
