Tsetse Fly • This Fly is what carrier the sickness and bites its unsuspecting victims. • There are over 22 types of this fly and all scrictly feed on Blood • Breed by Rivers and streams
Large Differences in Hosts • Features a unique and notable variable surface glycoprotein (VSG) coat in order to avoid the host's immune system. • Undergoes complex Changes from the insect gut to the mammalian bloodstream.
