  2. Green Marketing • Definition: The marketing of products that are presumably safe to the environment. • Ex. Toyota Prius

  3. Personalized Marketing • Definition: Marketing that creates an unique product offering for each customer. • When you visit websites, what you are looking at registers online and then the next time you are on Facebook you could have a banner ad for the product you were looking at before.

  4. Social Media • Definition: Forms of electronic communication in which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages, and other content. • Ex. FaceBook, Twitter.

  5. Mobile Marketing • Definition: A set of practices that enables organizations to communicate and engage with their audience in an interactive and relevant manner through any mobile device or network. • Ex. Zinga

  6. Geo-targeting • Definition: The practice of customizing an advertisement for a product or service to a specific market based on the geographic location of potential buyers. • Ex. Home Depot in Florida running an ad for hurricane season.

  7. Co-marketing • Definition: A partnership between two or more companies where both companies jointly market each other’s products. • Ex. Apple and Nike jointly developing a new service for joggers: NIKE+

  8. Gray Marketing • Definition: Market comprising of consumers over the age of 60. • Ex. Mobile scooters
