Here are some that we MUST have. • Ask permission before using a tool • No messing around. • Eye Protection must be worn at all times • Proper use of equipment • No loose clothing or jewelry • Tie back long hair • Clean workspace • Report any accidents • Be informed of location of first aid kits • Turn off and unplug all unused tools • Do not stretch power cords across the floor

Keep in mind… • Shop safety involves instilling culture not just following a set of safety rules. • Students must be constantly aware of their surroundings and be prepared to identify and eliminate existing or potential hazards. • A mistake in the shop can negatively impact the quality of future life for the student. • Violation of any safety rules will result in your immediate removal from the shop – NO EXCEPTIONS!
