ECIMAT fulfillsthecriteriatobecome a Member of EMBRC. • Marine stations or Institutes that operate education, training and research programmes. • ECIMAT participates in the University of Vigo Graduate on Marine Science Program and Campus-Mar National Excellence Program. • ECIMAT participates in the University´s Master on Aquaculture. • 11 Research groups on Marine Related areas work at ECIMAT.

ECIMAT fulfillsthecriteriatobecome a Member of EMBRC. • RegardingNationalfunding, ECIMAT has itsownbudget (200.000 €/year) and received625.000 € fromnationalfundingbetween 2008 and 2011. • TheFundingbodywas Xunta de Galicia (GalicianAutonomousGovernment) throughtheCompetitiveResearchUnitsConsolidationProgram (Consolidación e Estruturación de Unidades de Investigación Competitivas).(GalicianOfficialDiary (DOGA - 235, December 3rd 2008) • OnFebruary 8th 2012 GalicianOfficialDiarypublishedtheorderthatregulatesthe new CompetitiveResearchUnitsConsolidationProgram (DOG 27-February 8th 2012) throughwhichfundingwillbemadeavailabletocontinuetheworkstarted in 2008.
