Vice President of Administration The responsibilities held by VPAs are a bit fuzzy Responsibilities I take on: Lead Appointed Board (and meddle) Email the members Create Events and forms on the web Make the power points for the meetings In charge of non-service event carpool
Vice President of Administration Where will the bulk of your time go? Emailing the members with emails that include updated links and sufficient information Updating the website and creating forms and facebook events (or linking them) with the help of Webmaster Meddling in Appointed Board affairs and making sure that they are on track!
Vice President of Administration How to run Appointed Board Hold application and interview process Discuss with Executive board and appoint Have an appointed board meeting Keep updated with your Aboard Always try and give your Aboard a task Try to be fair in what you ask of your board
Go over responsibilities • Appoint in a board that you can trust • When necessary, banish an aboard member to the abyss of general membership • Do not feel pressured to fill in aboard roles • Do not underestimate your board • Do not trust that people will do their work • School > Club • GPA > Club Involvement Final Advice (Betty’s profound words of wisdom that she wishes to imbue onto all those eager to become VPA)
Vice President of Service • Responsibilities: • In charge of planning and coordinating events. • Chairing events • Keep in touch with the non-profit organizations • Write up CERFs • Fulfill any duties delegated by the President • Provide an excellent example of a CKI member to others • Make sure that everyone feels welcomed at events and meetings
Secretary Main Duties Fill out the Monthly Report Form (MRF) and report to the District Secretary Record events with the Club Event Report Form (CERF) Fill out any data forms: Meeting attendance, member roster, etc. Take minutes at Executive Board meetings Support the E-board to your utmost ability!
Be mindful of deadlines! Every MRF is due the every 5th of the month. • Don't wait til the last minute to record events, you'll probably regret it. • Use the information at your disposal to make your club a better one! • Keep your stuff organized, 'nuff said. Final Advice
