CFICE Purpose More Successful, Innovative, Prosperous, and Resilient Communities Question: How can community campus partnerships be designed and implemented to maximize the value created for non-profit, community-based organizations?
How we’ll get there Carleton University and the CACSL co-manage CFICE. Five self-managing research hubs carry out the work: • Poverty Reduction, Vibrant Communities Canada • Community Food Security, Food Secure Canada • Community Environmental Sustainability, the Trent Centre for Community-Based Education • Violence Against Women, Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies • Knowledge Mobilization, Canadian Alliance for Community Service-Learning Policy and program change: • Universities and Colleges • Governments and Foundations • Community-Based Organizations • Strengthened Public Policies and Programs • Strengthened CBO Partnership Capacities • More Effective Partnership Policies in and Performance by PSE Institutions • More Appropriate, Sustained Partnership Support by Governments and Foundations • Critical Mass of Multi-Generational Leaders • Pan-Canadian Networks
DIALOGUE QUESTIONS: • CFICE will be exploring the barriers and enabling factors for Community Campus Engagement to assist Community Based Organizations to achieve their goals • How do you demonstrate outcomes of your organization? • How do you assess the contribution of CCE to meeting the organizational goals? • What gets in the way of CCE and what supports it?
