  2. Seguir + Gerund Use seguir in present tense to express that someone continues to do something. “still” sigoseguimos siguesseguís siguesiguen Conjugate seguir in present tense. Then, form the gerund (present participle). -ando, -iendo Yosigoestudiando el español. I’m still studying Spanish.

Conjugate estar in imperfect- estabaestábamos estabasestabais estabaestaban Put the action verb in the present participle form. -ando, -iendo Yoestabacocinando. I was cooking.

  7. Ejemplos • I was getting ready for school when I realized I hadn’t done my homework. • We were cooking dinner when my friend arrived • They were studying when Dr. Kattoula entered the room.
