  3. The New Big Picture Others: e.g. Mozilla Sunbird Chandler Scooby Cosmo (CalDAV/ “ChanDAV”)

  4. Calendar-centric Approach • Chandler started with a very broad set of requirements • We clearly needed to focus • With input from CSG, we identified Calendaring as the area to focus • It’s clearly the most value-added • We can deliver a minimally usable version quickly

  5. Focusing on Calendar… • We have accelerated several piece once planned for Westwood i.e. • Cosmo Repository • Scooby Web UI • We need to evaluate the emerging calendaring landscape to fit in • Device convergence: working with Mobile devices • Web-based deployment • Continue pushing and supporting standards CalDAV, SyncML • Our focus on Calendaring will validate the Chandler platform and help inform the broader ambitions of Chandler

  6. Next Step: Summer Recalibration meeting • Based on today’s WAC meeting, CSG members raised several concerns about how the “world is changing” • We have arrived at similar conclusions to such concerns expressed by WAC members • Recalibration meeting identify common goals and confirmed we are aligned
