  2. Welcome! • This presentation is aimed at helping you know more about MetaPRO Forex • We will highlight features in MetaPRO Forex that meet the needs of users with different risk appetite and trading styles • The information presented here is concise and references to articles, data are made as when required • You are free to contact us anytime for further information you may need.

  3. Robots – Why do they fail to deliver? • The Automated Forex Software industry had indeed become very difficult for both Users and Developers. We agree that all the hyped up product launches, amazing results and hard selling tactics makes starting automated trading a tough decision. • From your experience in trading forex so far, you must have noticed that the trading strategy and claims by the robot developers are a far cry from what may be considered as the golden rules of trading. • If you were to trade full time manually, will you use the strategy/risk:reward being used by the robot you are willing to run on your account? • Most developers just pick an indicator, tweak the settings till the EA produces great backtest results over a period of time (also called curve fitting) and package it as an automated software. They are great at marketing hype, product launches and hard selling. • There are very little or no rules that such robots follow which will enable it to survive real world trading. • The golden rules of trading need to be followed for both manual or automated trading. • It is unrealistic to expect the robot to make significantly more than what can be made by trading manually (of course by trading with good strategy, discipline and consistency) • Only a good trading strategy, strict discipline and consistency will enable any trader/robot to succeed. • One has to acknowledge the fact that there is NO “Holy Grail” out there. The sooner we realize this, the better it is for our trading account.

  4. How is MetaPRO Forex different? • MetaPRO Forex is based on a proven and established swing strategy (ICWR). • The software is designed around the basic trading principle of:Let Profits Run, Cut Losses Short • Built in Money Management • 24x7 Email Support – Response time of less than 4 hours • 24x7 Online Tech Support for Users (skype) • One year free updates and free optimization settings • Free MT5 version of MetaPRO Forex as and when MT5 is widely used and accepted • At MetaPRO we do not indulge in hype, hard selling or any other dishonest means to sell the software. Our product was launched through review sites. MetaPRO was submitted for review, backtest and forward test to various review sites before its official low profile launch. There were no webinars or countdowns. We got all our traffic and clients only from members of various review sites.

  5. Backtest • Backtesting any EA for about two years should prove its worth. Backtest are just an approximation on how the EA will perform and not an exact science on proving the strategy. This is mainly due to the fact that most historical data from sources like MetaQuotes or DukasCopy are “indicative data”. That is they are the average of price bars from several different brokers. • In general, if the EA is showing fantastic results for longer periods, please be assured that the EA has been doctored to trade different strategies for different backtest durations. Unfortunately, this has become quite common in this Forex Robot industry. It is basically a marketing need for most EA developers since if they just show it never failed in the last 10 years, it is easy to sell the EA to the customer. • The review sites like FRF, FPA, FTS, etc really do a very good job by running the live tests. This gives the customers a certain degree of information on finding out if they are making the right choice. • We have attached the 2009-2010 fixed lot backtest which was run without applying the current 2010 optimization parameter • The 2010 backtest was run using optimized parameters and also variable lots using money management. • The results of the above tests are summarized in the following slide

  9. MetaPRO Forex v2.0 Trading Modes • There are basically two modes for MetaPRO to work namely Normal Mode and Optimized Mode. • The parameter that controls the mode is Generalize_Entry_Exit. • Setting this value to true makes MetaPRO function in Normal Mode. • Setting it to false makes it perform in optimized Mode. • The settings for each of the modes can be varied to create further customization to suit your trading style and risk appetite

  10. Optimized Mode (Recommended): • MetaPRO’s performance is continuously monitored by our R&D team. We develop or adjust parameters to take advantage of any significant long-term change in volatility/volume/price action. • In general, the parameter updates are sent once/twice a year. These parameters are sent  as SET files and sometimes along with software updates. • Using optimized mode we can enhance MetaPRO’s performance by over 25%.  The basic Entry-Exit rules remain the same in optimized mode but we are likely to see more trades since the optimization parameters and settings allow for more aggressive entries based on the current market price cycle. • You can expect 2-3 Product updates per year (feature enhancement, improvements, etc). Parameter updates are sent as SET files and the user can choose to use it if they find it suitable.

  11. Normal Mode • MetaPRO enters/exits trade based on the core trading strategy and with stricter rules for call confirmation based on multi-timeframe and Support/Resistence levels. • In this mode MetaPRO is designed to deliver returns of out 200% per annum (with UseCapital setting of 25).  TP, SL and Trailing SL are set Automatically by the system based on the Average trading Range. • This is the most conservative and relatively safer mode to trade in.  The StopLoss and Trailing SL may be in the range of 75-150 pips depending on the price action. • You can perform backtest using this mode, since the optimized settings may not be suitable for a different period or price cycle. The trades are less aggressive in Normal mode

  12. SWING MAX – Optimized Mode. Set_TP_SL_Automatically=falseDynamicTargetPrice=false, Trailing_SL = False, TP = 500, SL = 250.

  13. SWING MAX – Optimized ModeSet_TP_SL_Automatically=false, DynamicTargetPrice=false, Trailing_SL = FalseTP = 500, SL = 250 Equity Curve from Nov’10-Mid Jan’11

  20. Disadvantages of very tight Stoploss • Setting stoploss to very low values may result in trades getting chopped out too frequently. • The trade entry may be good, but the SL may get triggered and the trade may proceed in our desired direction. • Stoploss below 50 pips or less that 50% of Average Trading Range is not recommended. • Trailing SL are useful in locking in profits. Very tight trailing SL will cut off the trade early. • MetaPRO uses dynamic trailing SL that makes the trailing SL tighter as the trades gets more and more into money. • With MetaPRO you can also set a breakeven level so that the SL is moved to the entry price after a certain profit level is reached (for example 30 pips)

  21. Advantages of using Automatic TP/SL • The system calculates the TP and SL based on the Average Trading Range of the previous 3 days. • SL and Trailing SL is set to the ATR • TP is set to 2x ATR • If the price goes against the trade, MetaPRO closes the order before SL is actually triggered. The maximum risk SL level is set to the ATR and hence gives the trade more room to work towards its target. • The average size of losing trade may be around 75-125 pips but the number of losing trades will reduce and the average size of profit trades will increase in this mode.

  22. Trade comparison different modes in MetaPRO Forex Setting larger stoploss and targets without trailing stoploss allows MetaPRO to capture full swings. Setting narrower stoploss, smaller targets and trailing stoploss makes MetaPRO work in a conservative way. The drawdown and risk reduces.

  23. Setting larger stoploss (200pips) and targets (500 pips) without trailing stoploss allows MetaPRO give each trade enough space to work towards its set target. The trades are closed if there is a change in direction or trend. This may make MetaPRO miss out on intermediate targets which could have yielded 50-100 pips. This image shows the trades achieved by setting narrower stoploss and letting MetaPRO book profits at intermediate targets. Trailing SL locks in profits. Trades are re-entered if the price action is still supportive.

  24. Beware of systems with Large StopLoss/Small Profits • Most EA's that claim 95% or more success trades are making entries with a risk reward ratio of  10:1 or worse. The profit targets are usually about 10-30 pips whereas the stoploss is set at around 300 pips. Although the results look good, the drawdown and the huge stoploss levels makes it impractical for running such automated software. Such systems can give a continuous string of profit trades for months at a time but eventually the price action goes against such methods. • You can find more details on such systems at the following location: http://www.metaproforex.com/LargeSL.html

  25. Every system has good and bad sessions • We do not intend to portray MetaPRO as a perfect system • The search for ‘holy grail’ system never ends and we are constantly developing our product to deliver value to our clients • MetaPRO works as a swing trading software in trending markets. It changes automatically to scalping mode (sets smaller targets) once sideways/ranging movement is identified • MetaPRO will go through some bad patches where there may be a series of losses • The system adapts to the price action quickly and always bounces back • The excellent profit:loss ratio and money management ensures that MetaPRO does not blow out your account if it encounters a few bad trades • The Following slide shows a price action on a 4-hour chart over a few months. The weeks which are ideal for MetaPRO and weeks during which MetaPRO experiences bad trades are marked out.

  26. Customer Support We can confidently claim that our customer and technical support is the best in the industry. • We provide 24x7 Email with a response time of less than 4 hrs in most cases • MetaPRO users can chat with our technical team 24x5 (during trading hour)
