Motive • Many housewives often head to wet markets • Often lay out newspapers or carton boxes before placing groceries in boot • Fear that big bags of groceries will dirty their car if dirty water/blood seeps into boot • Realise that newspapers or boxes are not reusable, are rubbish in fact • Came up with prototype
Target audience • Undoubtedly, the housewives • Taxi drivers
Key features • Foldable, hence taking up less space • Product wrapped in vinyl • Anti-slip mats • Removable base
Vinyl • Man-made synthetic material • Cheap, low-cost material • Accessible • Resistant to moisture and humidity • Recyclable • Strong and durable • Insulator of heat
Method of operation • Simply open the “box” and put the removable base at the bottom (pushing out the sides) • Set up the dividers and place the bags in the various compartments • Water/blood will not seep into boot with double protection • Food can be kept cold (Vinyl is insulator of heat) • Simply wipe the box and removable base occasionally for cleanliness sake • Item can be tucked away at the back of boot, can place other items on top of it
