What is sustainability for GSC • A Cultural center for understanding and Social Change • Safe zone for all • Sharing resources • Its location is unique due to BSB foot traffic , which brings people into GSC. GSC is accessible, welcoming, and available for multiple uses. • This year they converted one of their spaces to use as a gallery. According to Megan Carney: “…we have made conscious choices to make the spaces accessible, welcoming, available for multiple uses, so that they nurture and sustain relationships, demonstrate interconnectivity, and build a sense of community on campus.”

Urban Innovation Symposium: Sustainable Cities
SST Interns at the Urban Innovation Symposium What is the The Urban Innovation Symposium? This is a yearly event organized by members of UPPSA (Urban Planning and Policy Student Association). All presenters demonstrated strengths among their projects and provided feedback towards sustainability for better Chicago neighborhoods.
