Biography of Robert. Robert was born on a farm in little britain,pennsylavnia, on November 14,1765. February 24, 1815 Robert became a American engineer. In 1880, he was commissioned by napoleon Bonaparte to design the nautilus , which was the first practical submarine in history.
The main inventor. • Robert invented the steamboat. • The steamboat helped people travel in a faster way. • Fulton also designed the first working submarine between the dates of, 1793-1797. • When he tested his submarine is stayed underwater for 17 minutes in 25 feet of water. • His steamboat was (20.1 m) long, 8 feet (2.4 m) beam, and made to travel 3-4 miles per hour.
What did the invention do. • When Robert invented the steamboat people were racing to ride on one because they did’t want to walk. • The steamboat went faster then walking. • The steamboat also held a lot of people.
How the invention changed their lives. The steamboat changed lives because they became more and more popular which meant, in the older times there were paddles and sailing boats. Soon the replaced horses to engines.
