Propellant Transfer Segment Heritage • Main Propellant Transfer System • Built by LMMS under CTTS Task Order 14 • Refurbished by LMMS and used on CTTS Task Order 26 • Refurbished by LMMS under TCP Delivery Order 7 • Start Fuel Transfer Subsystem • Built by LMMS under CTTS Task Order 12 • Refurbished by LMMS under CTTS Task Order 14 • Refurbished by LMMS under CTTS Task Order 26 • Refurbished by LMMS under TCP Delivery Order 7 • Test Equipment – Remote Pressurization System • Designed and built by LMMS under CTTS Task Order 25 • Utilized during TCP Delivery Order 7
Propellant Transfer Hardware Risk Mitigation • Propellant Transfer System Hardware • Utilize the same propellant transfer equipment and procedures used on CTTS Task Order 26 • Propellant Transfer System will be refurbished at the conclusion of the FTS-03 mission for FTA-04B • An additional Remote Pressurization Panel will be built under this DO for Huntsville testing. This mitigates related schedule risks.

Agenda • Flight Safety • Ground Safety • Way Forward
Flight Safety • Utilize T/O 26 tailoring of the Pt. Mugu, NAVAIR WD Flight Safety Data Requirements • Submit Range Safety Data Package (RSDP): • General missile description • Trajectory information • Flight HA methodology • Simulation parameters • Telemetry requirements • Receive and incorporate range comments or acceptance of the tailored requirements
Ground Safety • Utilize T/O 26 tailoring of safety requirements (i.e. NAVAIR, MIL-Std 882, EWR 127-1 etc.) as the format for the ground safety data package (GSDP) to be delivered • Address specific safety issues: • HE and/or front-end handling/storage • Ordnance storage/handling/installation • Propellant storage/handling/transfer
Way Forward • Flight Safety • Submit draft RSDP • Specific flight safety information will be transmitted to the range (i.e. trajectory info, FTS specifications, etc.) • Flight safety working groups as required/needed • Bi-Weekly telecoms (FSWG & FTS/GPS) • Ground Safety • Submit draft GSDP • Specific safety issues will be addressed • Ground safety working groups as required/needed • Bi-Weekly telecoms (GSWG)

FTA-04B Risk Items Ent 4 1. Risk Title: S-Band Frequency Overlap Description: If the TCP target frequencies are placed in upper S-band, then TCP must procure new design antennas. Mitigation Plan: Determine FTA-04B target frequencies. Gain final approval of target frequencies. If required, design new antennas. Procure antennas. Status: Currently coordinating frequencies with the Arrow Project Office and Coleman. ECD: March 31, 2008 Exit 4 Exit 8 Risk Exposure Low
