HOSA Mission Statement • The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science technology education students, therefore, helping students to meet the needs of the health care community.

Center for Disease Control: • "If you are equipped to deal with a zombie apocalypse you will be prepared for a hurricane, pandemic, earthquake, or terrorist attack.“ • So, we are going to • make a kit • make a plan • and be prepared!
HOSA members can build kit at home and submit them for competition (March 2013)– winner will receive cash prize • Cash Prize determined by the number of participants and the number of items included in your kit ($25-50)
Emergency Kit • Flashlight • Batteries • First aid kit • Multipurpose tool • Personal hygiene items • Copies of documents • Extra cash • Emergency blanket
Emergency Kit • Whistle • Matches • Rain gear • Work gloves • Duct tape • Food / Water
Spring Community Service- Bring items (at least 4) by the end of March • The Saginaw Community Link needs the following items: • Canned Goods -Brushes & combs • Toilet paper • Laundry soap • Toothbrushes (adult and child) • Toothpaste • Deodorant • Hand soap • Shampoo • Diapers
Community Service • -Join the MS Walk in Fort Worth – on Saturday March 2 8am at Trinity park; create a team or join one already established at SHS • -Boopa’s Bagel Walk- supporting Down Syndrome- Sat March 9 at 8am at Fossil Creek park and Beach Street • -Get Your Rear in Gear Walk/Run- benefitting colon cancer- Sat May 4 at 8am in Arlington • -Victory over Violence Walk/Run- benefitting family violence- Sat April 13 8am at Trinity Park
