  6. 2005 First Combined Data Recorder/ECDIS The first certified S-VDR/ECDIS Combo – (data recorder and electronic chart system in one PC). 2005 First Certified Portable ECDIS for Pilots Described as a pioneer project of international proportions, the Norwegian Coastal Administartion selected MARIS for supply of 300 portable MARIS ECDIS systems for the Norwegian Pilots. Following this, hundreds of pilots in Denmark, Finland, United Kingdom and India have selected MARIS ECDIS. May 2013 – Slide 7

  7. 2009 MARIS is digitizing the UKHO The United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) awarded MARIS a contract to supply an ordering, management and maintenance system for marine navigational products and services (e-Navigator). The contract was awarded following EU ”competitive dialogue” tender regulations. e-Navigator is an upgraded version of MARIS Digital Service (MDS) made to exact specifications of UKHO and consist of a ”back of bridge” application and a ”front end”, handling UKHO 100+ world-wide distributors.   8. 2010 Voyage Decision Support (VDS) Is an innovative electronic tool based on MARIS ECDIS900 designed to PLAN and EXECUTE the voyage and DOCUMENT and ANALYSE the result. May 2013 – Slide 9

  11. 1. Electronic Chart Systems World´s first type approved ECDIS using Flat Panel Computer and colour TFT display technology. More than 7,500 systems in use in over 40 countries. Voyage Decision Support (VDS) - Fuel consumption reduced by over 5% - Time efficiency of up to 15 seadays saved per year - Short payback in investment - 5 years detailed operations history documented - Improved control of vessel´s operations - The VDS can be used as an official ECDIS back up May 2013 - Slide 12

MARIS Digital Services • MDS presents a single real-time view to the mariner, their shore based managers and their suppliers across a wide range of maritime Information • Saves time and money • MDS Manager uses standard off-the-shelf hardware and is the master programme for several sub-modules • Taking only data needed on a passage, keeps the satellite download costs to a minimum - Data can be downloaded and updated at any time - Data sent from the MDS servers is encrypted and super compressed - The user choose the delivery method - A log is kept within each module May 2013 - Slide 13

  13. 3. Voyage Data Recorders - World´s first VDR/S-VDR with integrated type approved ECDIS offering increased recording capability including cpmplete ECDIS logbook with replay to DVD compatible with any Microsoft based PC - Almost 1,000 systems in service May 2013 - Slide 14

  14. 4. Radar/ARPA - The MARIS PC Radar Kit provides full Radar/ARPA functionality. The kit comprises of a single PC card and a high performance software package which in a navigational system environment meets and exceeds the radar and tracking performance mandated by IMO MSC.192 and IEC 62388 - The MARIS PC Radar Kit also provides Radar Overlay to ECDIS- Almost 2,000 systems in service May 2013 - Slide 15
