  1. Oatmeal with Apples Popeye’s Pine Nut ,spinach salad Homemade Bean Burgers Any-time Omelet Whole wheat pasta w/ veggies Sweet potato fries Brown rice Fruit cup Spinach The Mighty Meal Expo

  2. Oatmeal with Apples • This hot cereal is high in fiber and low on the glycemic index, which means it fills you up and takes a long time to digest! But we take it one delicious step further and add one of natures greatest gifts- the APPLE! Not only are apples nutritious, but what sets them apart from other fruits is pectin, a soluble fiber that helps regulate blood sugar, keeps you full, and sustains your energy. Did we mention we top it off with a splash of cinnamon? MMMM your mouth to your toes will enjoy this meal! It has a host of benefits, but perhaps none more important than this one: USDA researchers recently found that people with type 2 diabetes who consumed one gram of cinnamon a day for 6 weeks significantly reduced their blood sugar, triglycerides, and LDL cholesterol. (Now THAT is WORTH knowing!)

  3. Popeye’s Pine Nut ,spinach salad • This salad has a lot of seasonal vegetables like lettuce, cabbage, spinach, celery, cucumbers, broccoli, and peppers and is very filling and helps slow the release of glucose into your bloodstream. • Our pine nuts add so much crunch and flavor! These edible pine-tree seeds contain more protein than any other nut or seed, and their oil stimulates two appetite-suppressing hormones (cholecystokinin [CKK] and glucagon-like peptide-1) that tell your brain you're not hungry!! What we do is- sprinkle them on your salad for a delicious, nutty crunch. We add a dash of balsamic vinegar or a squeeze of lemon juice for a tasty, super-low-calorie option for dressing.

  4. Homemade Bean Burgers • These delicious black or kidney bean burgers are filled with breadcrumbs, extra virgin olive oil and a hint of cilantro! Your mouth will love how it tastes and your body will be full of many important nutrients. • This dish is served with homemade sweet potato fries!

  5. Any-time Omelet •  Enjoy all of the nutrients of the wonderful egg while it helps you stay full and energized. Add any item on the menu for just 1.00 each! • Eggs are also an excellent source of folate; protein; lutein, which promotes eye health; and choline, which helps brain function.

  6. Whole wheat pasta w/ veggies • Pasta is low in sodium and fat and high in complex carbohydrates, which helps you maintain a consistent energy level. Fortified with folic acid, an essential nutrient. This delicious meal with many seasonal veggies is like a circus of flavors in your mouth!
