  1. Grade raiser 10/21 Simplify the following and explain the steps you used to simplify. 1. 2(x+1) 2. 5(-3s+t+2t) Solve the equation and explain each step. 3. 6+2y=8

  2. Grade Raiser 10/22 • Write the expression using exponents • 1. 3x3x3x3x3 • 2. nxnxn • 3. (n-6)(n-6)(n-6)

  3. Grade Raiser 10/25 • Use the 100 chart to find all the prime numbers between 1 and 100. • 1st: Cross of number 1 • 2nd: Circle number 2, the first prime and then cross off all the other numbers divisible by 2. • 3rd: Go back, circle the next prime, which is 3. • 4th : Cross off all the multiples of 3. • 5th: Continue by circling 5 and crossing off multiples of 5. • 6th : Circle the rest of the primes and make sure their multiples are crossed off.

  4. Grade raiser 10/26 Prime factors Prime Factors of 12 of 20 Use the Venn Diagram to show the prime factors of 12 and 20. Then use it to find the common factors of the numbers. Then multiply the numbers in the middle to find the GCF (Greatest Common Factor).

  5. Grade Raiser 10/27 • Write each of the following in symbols, noting that the phrase “the quantity” is used to indicate parantheses. • 1. Three times x squared • 2. Three times x the quantity squared • 3. Eight divided by x squared • 4. Eight divided by x the quantity squared

  6. Grade Raiser 10/28 • 2. There are 16 ounces in a pound. My pumpkin weighs 24 ounces. How many pounds is my pumpkin? 1. If there are 100 total witches flying around on broom sticks and 25 crash. What fraction represents the amount of witches still flying?
