Exam structure and tips • The questions require written answers • diagrams where appropriate or asked for • Need to show “MSc” understanding/detail/critique /evaluate/explain/comment of the subject matter • You need to be able to “discuss; explain; compare and contrast; comment; explain the reasons” as regards the questions

  2. Revision - How? • Use the : • module PowerPoint's slides • module practical links and assignment work • module schedule reading recommendations • Computing and Computer Weekly articles – library resources • You do need to show some depth of reading/evidence of reading/investigation

  3. Exam structure • There are four questions on the paper • You are required to answer TWO questions • All questions carry equal marks (25 marks) • Each question in three parts • 12 marks ≈ 25 minutes • 8 marks ≈ 17 minutes • 5 marks ≈ 10 minutes

Tips • Structure your answer • Don’t ramble • Answer the question! • 2 hours • Spend about 55 minutes on each question • These times include quickly structuring the answer and reading the question • Leave 5/10 minutes at end of exam for a quick check through for common mistakes • Spelling, omission, confusion, reversal
