Reflections, Conclusions, Advice! • Identify students – not necessarily the obviously ‘techy’ ones… • Clear Training suited to what they are to do… • Publicize what they do – to their class, teachers….
“Don’t be afraid” Use all your resources! Don’t be afraid to share as well. Be the ones to make learning the best it can be! “teachers need to trust students”
Top Tips for Students • You are the future – believe in yourself! You are the ones that can make a real difference. • Think about what your strong points are (if you’re not sure, ask a friend!) – this will help show you how and where you can be the most effective! • Go back to your school, and tell your teachers that you want to help and how you can help – it might be in a particular subject, it might be helping set up a focus group! • The best thing you can provide your school with, is ideas and enthusiasm. Talk to your teachers, your head-teachers, tell them what can be done, what must be done – and how you can help them do it! • Why not see if you can team up with a Digital Leader from another school to offer help and support!
Top Tips for Teachers • Start small, (then be ready for a snowball). • Carefully choose your pioneers (staff & students) • Students are your best resource – harness their creativity – yet allow them the freedom to innovate! • Dive into the world of technology! (Risk-IT) • (Self) Select students by their wish to work in a particular subject area or with a given teacher • Don’t be limited by any one particular model • Don’t underestimate your students – they will easily surpass your expectations • Give students the freedom to explore and create • Management support – use students to talk to both teachers, Senior Management and Head-Teachers • Use students as INSET support
