Features of DSRC • Dedicate short rang communications (DSRC) ,IEEE802.11p • 75 MHz of band available in U.S. • Twice the bandwidth of cellular • Approved by FCC • Primary allocation • Allocation incentive was safety • Range: Up to 1000 meters • Data Rate: Up to 27 Mbps • Tolling will probably use default data rate of 6 Mbps • Mobile connection: up to 120 mph • High Availability & Low Latency (50ms) Prioritization Service
