Firing of Fort Sumter • The event took place April 12-13 1861 • The event happen at Fort Sumter, North Carolina • It was a battle and the Confederate (South) won the battle • The battle called bloodiest single-day is called thebattle of Gettysburg • The turning point battles was Gettysburg and Antietam • The assassin of Lincoln is John Wilkes Booth • Emancipation Proclamation was issued by President Lincoln on January 1, 1863, freeing the slaves in those territories still in rebellion against the Union.

  3. Battle of Antietam • Took place on September 17, 1862 • It happened at Maryland • The Union won the battle

  4. Battle of Gettysburg • It happen on July 1, 1863 • It happened at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania • Union won the battle
