若不是耶和华建造房屋，建造的人就枉然劳力；若不是耶和华看守城池，看守的人就枉然警醒。 你们清晨早起，夜晚安歇，吃劳碌得来的饭，本是枉然；惟有耶和华所亲爱的，必叫他安然睡觉。 Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat-- for he grants sleep to those he loves.诗Psm127：1-2

翻译不同Different Translation • 你们清晨早起，夜晚安歇，吃劳碌得来的饭，本是枉然。In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat. • 本是枉然？应是当然！In vain? That should be the way it is. • 翻译的问题。Translation problems.

安歇 Sleep well? • 夜晚安歇。Sleep at night. • 中文翻译不好。Chinese translation not good. • Stay up late. 很晚才睡。 • 这人睡眠不好。He does not sleep well. • 早起晚睡，睡眠不足。Get up early and stay up late. Not enough sleep. • 睡眠的质量也不好。Quality of sleep is not good.

吃劳碌得来的饭Toiling for food to eat • Toiling (very hard working). 非常劳碌。 • The bread of sorrows (KJV). 忧愁的饭。 • 不是没饭吃，是吃劳碌饭。Not without food, but has to toil to get the food. • 代价很大。Price is too big.

更大的代价 Still bigger price • 没有内心的平安。There is no inner peace. • 患得患失。Worrying about gaining and losing. • 耶和华所赐的福使人富足，并不加上忧虑。The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, without painful toil for it. 箴Pro 10:22

终极代价 Ultimate price • 没有永恒的价值。No eternal value. • 是草木禾楷，不是金银宝石。It is wood, hay or straw, not gold, silver, or precious stones. • 枉然。In vain. • 白做了。In vain.

不需努力 No need to work hard? • 只要上帝亲爱，我们就不需努力？As long as God loves us, we do not have to work hard? • 当然不是。Of course not. • 若有人不肯做工，就不可吃饭。The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.帖后II Th 3:10 • 神不要我们偷懒。God does not want us to be lazy.

叫他安然睡觉 Grants sleep • “Shena” 是熟睡的意思。Means deep sleep. • 不但吃得饱，也睡得稳妥。Not only eat well, also sleep well. • 为什么Why?

耶和华所亲爱的 Those he loves • 与神的关系亲密，走在神的旨意中。Close to God, and walks in His will. • 在主里有平安。Peace in the Lord.

如何安然 How to be in peace? • 明白神的旨意。Understand God’s will. • 努力工作。Work hard. • 祷告交托。Pray and trust.

明白神的旨意 Understand God’s will • 不违反圣经的原则。Not violating biblical principles. • 内心的平安。Inner peace. • 客观的印证。Objective confirmation. • 内心的平安最靠不住。”Inner peace” not reliable. • 客观的印证最重要。Objective confirmation most important.

努力工作Work hard • 懒惰使人沉睡。懈怠的人，必受饥饿。 Laziness brings on deep sleep, and the shiftless go hungry. 箴Pro 19:15

祷告交托 Pray and trust • 应当一无挂虑，只要凡事藉著祷告、祈求，和感谢，将你们所要的告诉神。神所赐、出人意外的平安必在基督耶稣里保守你们的心怀意念。Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 腓Php4:7

在苦难中有平安 Peace in suffering • 你要以你的训言引导我，以後必接我到荣耀里。 You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. 诗Psm 73:24 • 我的肉体和我的心肠衰残；但神是我心里的力量，又是我的福分，直到永远。 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. 诗Psm73:26

我们这至暂至轻的苦楚，要为我们成就极重无比、永远的荣耀。For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 林后 II Cor 4:17
